Find good humans. Make great work. Leave things better than you found them.
I’ve spent more than 25 years making things and becoming increasingly fascinated by how ideas move people. My path has taken me across disciplines, mediums, and industries, but the curiosity has stayed pretty consistent. Understand why something matters, find the meaning in it, and turn that into creative people can understand, feel, and connect with.
Connector. Translator. Creative leader.
I started in web and digital solutions, moved through graphic design, experiential, campaigns, CPG, and art direction, and eventually found my way deep into brand strategy, visual language, design systems, and creative leadership. I've never really stopped being a designer, though. Over time, making things grew into thinking about the bigger picture around them and how all the pieces connect.
My role is often to find those connections. I help teams find clarity, translate complexity into something people can build from, create systems that empower others, and shape brands people genuinely connect with. Sometimes that means defining the vision. Sometimes that means getting into the details and making alongside the team. Usually, it's a bit of both.
Help people. Bring moments of joy.
That idea has quietly shaped a lot of the choices I’ve made throughout my career. Creativity has an incredible ability to make someone feel something, see something differently, solve a problem, or simply make their day a little better. I want the things I put into the world, and the way I work with people while making them, to contribute something positive.
At this stage of my career, I care a lot less about titles and ladders and a lot more about finding good humans to make great things with. People who care about the work, sweat the craft, share what they know, stay curious, challenge each other, laugh when things get ridiculous, and hopefully make each other a little better along the way.
I don’t think creative leadership is about having all the answers. It’s about asking better questions, creating clarity, and building the conditions for good ideas and talented people to thrive.
